With 10,000 Instagram followers you can realistically make somewhere between nothing and about $1,000 a month from brand deals (industry estimates put a feed post at this size at $100 to $500), or about $400 to $1,600 a month from a $9.99 fan subscription if 0.5% to 2% of followers pay, after a 20% platform fee. Many accounts this size earn less: brand deals are irregular and often paid in products, and conversion depends on the work you put in.
Influencer Marketing Hub’s 2026 guide for brands puts accounts with 10,000 to 100,000 followers in the micro tier at about $100 to $500 per Instagram feed post, with Stories usually cheaper and bundles higher. Below 10,000 it estimates $10 to $100, often with gifted products instead of cash. These are industry estimates, not rate cards you can claim.
Brand money also needs a feed brands accept. Meta’s Content Monetization Policies say content with “sexual poses” or “revealing or absent items of clothing” may face reduced or disabled monetization, and brands apply similar filters. If your feed is glamour, lingerie or swimwear, plan on brand income being the smaller part.
At 10,000 followers you meet Instagram’s published follower minimum for Gifts on Reels (500 followers, plus a professional account and an age of 18 or over), which pay $0.01 per star. Instagram’s help pages we read do not publish a follower minimum for Subscriptions; the 10,000 figure quoted elsewhere is unverified. Both depend on content passing Meta’s monetization policies. More in how to monetize Instagram followers.
The conversion rates are planning assumptions. Inrō, which sells Instagram DM tools, describes under 0.5% as typical for a link in bio alone and 0.5% to 2% as a funnel that partly works (July 2026, vendor estimates). Price $9.99 a month, one month, subscriptions only.
| Rate | Paying fans (10,000 × rate) | Fans pay (× $9.99) | After OnlyFans’ 20% (× 0.80) | After the HerFans 20% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0.5% | 50 | $499.50 | $399.60 | $399.60 |
| 1% | 100 | $999.00 | $799.20 | $799.20 |
| 2% | 200 | $1,998.00 | $1,598.40 | $1,598.40 |
On top of subscriptions come pay-per-view posts, paid messages and tips. On OnlyFans those were about 73% of revenue in FY2025 (onlyfansstatistics.com, summarizing company filings), but that average is driven by top earners; do not add it to your plan as a sure thing.
| Followers | Brand post estimate | Fans at 0.5% to 2% | After 20% fee at $9.99 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10,000 | $100 to $500 | 50 to 200 | 50 × $7.992 = $399.60 to 200 × $7.992 = $1,598.40 |
| 50,000 | $100 to $500 | 250 to 1,000 | 250 × $7.992 = $1,998 to 1,000 × $7.992 = $7,992 |
| 100,000 | $500 to $5,000 | 500 to 2,000 | 500 × $7.992 = $3,996 to 2,000 × $7.992 = $15,984 |
$7.992 is $9.99 × 0.80, what a creator keeps per subscriber after OnlyFans’ fee. Two things change as you grow. Brand rates jump at the 100,000 tier (Influencer Marketing Hub estimates $500 to $5,000 a post). Conversion usually falls, because big audiences include more casual followers, so the top of each range gets harder to reach. And the typical creator earns far less than these scenarios: a panel based estimate puts the OnlyFans median near $180 a year.
Then follow the switch plan, and compare with how much Instagram models make. Create your free page or read more for creators.

Fans subscribe, tip and unlock your content. You ask for a payout from your dashboard once your available balance reaches the published minimum. Each sale is pending for 30 days, the period in which refunds and most card disputes arrive, and 10% of it is held as a reserve until day 120. For a sale paid by card, the reserve is held longer, up to day 206, because our card processor keeps its own reserve on that payment for 26 weeks and it is released to you once it has been returned to us.
