To convert TikTok followers into paying fans, keep your TikTok fully within its rules, put a neutral link in bio that does not point straight at an adult page, and send people to a page where they can follow you for free first. Then turn followers into buyers with a low priced subscription, a first pay-per-view post, and a personal welcome message. Most of the money comes after the subscription: pay-per-view, tips and paid messages made up about 73% of OnlyFans revenue in its last reported year.
The conversion rate from a social follower to a paying fan is small, and that is normal. What matters is that each step of the path loses as few people as possible, and that nothing along the way gets your TikTok or Instagram account removed.
TikTok’s Community Guidelines, effective 13 September 2025, do not allow sexual solicitation, including invitations to connect off-platform for something sexual, or “facilitating access to sexual services, such as offering or asking for sexual acts, sexual chats or imagery, or pornography”. In practice TikTok has gone further than the text: in December 2020 Rolling Stone reported creators losing accounts simply for linking to an OnlyFans page, with TikTok saying it does not allow accounts that attempt to redirect traffic to that kind of content. Instagram’s Community Guidelines also prohibit nudity and sexual solicitation.
That leads to three rules most successful creators follow:
None of this is legal advice, and platforms enforce inconsistently. The safest assumption is that anything you would not want a moderator to read will eventually be read by one. For more detail, see our guide to promoting a page on TikTok.
| Step | What the fan does | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Discovery | Watches your TikTok or Reels | Post consistently, safe for work, in your niche |
| 2. Link in bio | Taps your bio link | A neutral page with your profiles and your fan page link |
| 3. Free follow | Follows you without paying | Free public posts that show what subscribers get |
| 4. Subscription | Subscribes, or claims a free trial link | A low entry price, $4.99 to $9.99 |
| 5. Welcome | Gets a message from you | A short personal hello and one question |
| 6. First purchase | Unlocks a post or a paid message | A first pay-per-view priced to be an easy yes |
Your bio link is the riskiest and most important part of the funnel. Use a link in bio page that lists your public profiles, with your fan page as one of the links, and keep its title and preview image safe for work. Give each platform its own tagged link so you know which one actually sends paying fans. On HerFans, links that tell you what worked report clicks, sign-ups and money, place by place, and a fan counts toward the place she first came from even if she pays a week later. Read a link in bio that actually pays for the setup.
Asking a TikTok viewer to pay on their first visit loses most of them. Letting them follow for free keeps them. On HerFans following is free, followers see your free posts, and they get a reason to come back every time you post. Post a few free, safe for work pieces that show your style, and pin the one that best explains what subscribers get.
Agency estimates put the median fan subscription at around $7.50 to $9.99 a month. A new page with a social audience often does better starting lower, because the subscription is only the entry ticket. On HerFans the floor is $4.99. Free trial links can give new fans a few free days, with a cap on how many people and an end date.
When someone subscribes, send a short welcome message yourself. Thank them, mention where they found you, and ask one question about what they like. That one reply tells you what to offer them later. Our article on writing a welcome message has examples.
The first purchase is the hardest, and every one after it is easier. Make it small and obviously worth it: a photo set or a short clip at $5 to $10, posted as pay-per-view or sent as a paid message. Agency estimates put photo sets around $10 to $20 once fans are buying regularly. See the pay-per-view guide and how much to charge for pricing.
In OnlyFans’ financial year to November 2025, pay-per-view, tips and paid messages grew 20% to about $1.13 billion, roughly 73% of its revenue, while subscription revenue fell about 10% (onlyfansstatistics.com, citing company filings, September 2026). Agencies estimate pay-per-view at 50% to 70% of a top creator’s gross. The lesson for a creator coming from TikTok is to plan for per item sales from day one: regular pay-per-view sets, paid messages to subscribers who reply, and custom pieces agreed with a subscriber in messages and delivered as a paid message. Read selling custom content for that last one.
The market is big enough for more than one platform. Fanvue reported $100 million in annual recurring revenue (BusinessWire, 12 January 2026), and Fanfix, which is safe for work only, reported passing $300 million paid out to creators in June 2026. Fans are paying creators directly across many platforms, not only one.
HerFans is for women creators 18 and over. Every creator passes identity verification and a profile review before her page goes public, and every paid photo and video is marked for the account that bought it. Create your free page, or read more for creators.

Fans subscribe, tip and unlock your content. You ask for a payout from your dashboard once your available balance reaches the published minimum. Each sale is pending for 30 days, the period in which refunds and most card disputes arrive, and 10% of it is held as a reserve until day 120. For a sale paid by card, the reserve is held longer, up to day 206, because our card processor keeps its own reserve on that payment for 26 weeks and it is released to you once it has been returned to us.
