The best site like Phrendly depends on what you sell. Phrendly pays a fixed $0.35 per volley for text and 70% of a call after a $0.20 a minute connection fee, and it allows no nudity and no accounts outside the US and Canada. If you want to set your own prices, SextPanther lets you price each message and HerFans lets you price the photos and clips you send and charge by the minute for live text chat. If you want voice calls, NiteFlirt, Premium.Chat and Arousr run them. Two sites that old lists still recommend, MyGirlFund and FlirtBucks, did not load at all when we checked in September 2026 (see our MyGirlFund alternatives).

What Phrendly actually pays

Phrendly’s help center states it in one line: you keep $0.35 per volley for chat, 70% of phone and video call earnings after a $0.20 a minute connection fee, and 90% of gifts. A drink is worth $10. The payout minimum is $10, paid daily through Express Pay or monthly on the first, by ACH or by paper check with a $10 fee per check.

The detail that decides your income is what counts as a volley. It is not every message. Only your first reply to his message counts, it has to arrive within 12 hours, and you earn only when he wrote first. Whoever sends the first message in a conversation pays for the chat from then on, so opening a conversation yourself means you are the one spending. Text pay is fixed by Phrendly, which means you cannot raise your price as you get popular.

On calls you choose how many minutes a $10 drink buys. At 10 minutes per drink the call costs him $1.00 a minute, the $0.20 connection fee comes off first, and you keep 70% of the remaining $0.80, which is $0.56 a minute. Why women look for sites like Phrendly

Four reasons come up again and again in the Reddit threads that fill the search results for this question. The first is the fixed $0.35. A woman with regulars who would happily pay $2 a message has no way to charge it. The second is the content rule: Phrendly’s code of conduct says no nudity, conversations are screened by automated and human moderation, and swapping an Instagram or Snapchat handle is banned. The third is geography, since Phrendly only permits accounts from the US and Canada. The fourth is control. The terms let Phrendly restrict payment to a member for any reason in its sole discretion, and change commission and connection fees with or without notice.

None of that makes Phrendly a scam. It pays, the minimum is low, and it sends you people who are already there to spend. It does mean the ceiling is low and the regulars belong to Phrendly.

Sites like Phrendly compared on what they pay

These are the platforms a US woman can join today to get paid for chat, with the pay model each one publishes.

The split between the rows is who sets the price. Phrendly and Arousr fix what a text earns. SextPanther, NiteFlirt, Premium.Chat, Popcall and HerFans let you name it, and then take a share. SextPanther does not publish its share, so the 60% and 75% are what its models report, and you learn your real number from your first statement.

What a paid message earns on each site

Text is where the gap is widest, because a fixed rate per reply and a share of your own price are very different deals.

At $0.35 a volley, $500 a month takes 1,429 counted replies, about 48 a day, every day. At a price you set yourself the same money takes a few hundred messages, but only if your regulars will pay that price, and a platform that lets you set a price usually sends you fewer strangers. That trade is the whole decision: Phrendly and Arousr supply the men and keep the pricing, the others leave pricing to you and expect you to bring or build an audience.

What a call earns on each site

Here is one hour of talk time at $1.00 a minute, which is what a Phrendly call costs when you set 10 minutes per drink.

At higher prices the order changes. NiteFlirt’s flat $0.20 connection charge shrinks as a share of the price, so at $4.99 a minute you keep about 67%. Phrendly’s math moves the same way: at 5 minutes per drink the call is $2.00 a minute and you keep $1.26, or 63%. Arousr’s voice rate stays at $0.70 whatever the caller pays. Payout minimums and who can join

Phrendly has the lowest barrier on this table: a phone number, a card for a $1.00 authorization, approval within 5 days, then a $10 minimum. You do need a Social Security number or EIN that matches your payee name, and Phrendly says payments may be suspended if it cannot verify that before you have been paid $500 in a tax year.

Sites that old lists recommend and you cannot join

Most lists of apps like Phrendly were written years ago and never checked again. We loaded each site on 30 September 2026.

• MyGirlFund. Both addresses returned a connection timeout. There is no closure notice, and recent reviews from models complain about unpaid balances. Do not plan around it.
• FlirtBucks. Neither of its two addresses loaded. The pay rates quoted for it come from other blogs and cannot be checked.
• ChatRecruit. The site is live, but it says new host applications are paused while it brings services back online. It is a UK company.

Text operator agencies such as Text121Chat and TexKings also turn up in these lists. They are a different job. You answer messages as a character the agency assigns, not as yourself, and you build no regulars of your own. Text121Chat holds your first 600 messages as onboarding and requires 1,000 messages a month to qualify for a payout. TexKings quotes 8 to 20 euro cents a message and says 100 to 500 euros a month is realistic. If the appeal of Phrendly was being paid as yourself, these are a step down.

Which Phrendly alternative fits you

You have regulars who would pay more than $0.35. Move them somewhere you set the price. On HerFans you price the photos and clips you send in messages, charge by the minute for live text chat and keep 80% of it, and the same fans subscribe to your page, which pays every month whether or not anyone messaged you that week. You want to sell more than flirty chat. Phrendly bans nudity, so photo sets, videos and explicit messages need a platform built for them. HerFans, SextPanther, NiteFlirt and Arousr all allow adult content. Arousr goes further and requires paid content to show nudity and your face to be visible, which rules it out if you want to stay anonymous.

You want phone calls. Stay on Phrendly for low-priced calls or add NiteFlirt or Premium.Chat. NiteFlirt has the biggest directory of callers. Premium.Chat gives you a paid-chat button to put on your own site or social profile and bills cards for you.

You want it platonic. Rent A Cyber Friend is a US company that bans romantic and sexual content outright. You set a per-minute rate for video calls, it takes 20% when you withdraw, and the minimum withdrawal is $50.

You are outside the US and Canada. Phrendly will not approve you. HerFans pays to an IBAN and reviews creators from most countries, and Rent A Cyber Friend pays by PayPal, bank or Wise worldwide.

Where HerFans fits for women who get paid to chat

HerFans is a subscription platform for women who sell photos, video and conversation. Fans subscribe to your page, unlock paid posts, send tips and pay for messages at the price you set, and you keep 80% of each with no connection fee and no plan to pay. A person reviews every creator’s ID before she can publish or be paid, and every paid copy of your content carries the buyer’s handle and account number, so a leak points back to whoever shared it.

Know the limits before you move anyone. There are no voice or video calls and text is not billed by the minute. HerFans does not send you a queue of strangers the way Phrendly does, so it suits a woman who already has regulars or an audience on social media.
