The median text message was $1.75, the median phone call was $4.88 a minute, and the median video call was $9.00 a minute. Every published SextPanther review we could find quotes a vague "$1 to $2 per message" and stops there, so these are the real numbers.

The finding that should change how you set up a profile: video is priced at roughly 1.8 times phone on the same platform, by the same models. The median video minute pays a model $6.75 against $3.66 for a phone minute, and the same models routinely list both at different rates. A model who leaves video switched off is working the cheaper half of the marketplace.

Put the three rates on the same scale and the gap gets larger still. At the medians, a five minute video call earns a model $33.75, which takes about 32 paid text messages to match. An hour of video at the median pays $405, or about 386 messages. Texting is the volume business on SextPanther; calls are the margin business.

How do SextPanther call minimums work?

Every model sets a minimum call length alongside her per minute rate, and the fan pays for that whole minimum whether or not the call runs that long. In our sample the minimums ranged from 1 minute to 10 minutes. That combination is the single most under-explained mechanic on the platform, because it sets the floor price of a first call.

A model listing $10.00 a minute with a 10 minute minimum is quoting a $100 first call, of which she keeps $75. A model listing $2.25 with a 1 minute minimum is quoting $2.25. Both are on the same directory, on the same day. Set the minimum too high and casual buyers never place the first call; set it at 1 minute and you invite 60 second calls that pay less than the messages you would have sold anyway.
