JustForFans does not publish what it pays creators. We read its terms of use in full, then compared it against the platforms that do put a number in writing.

The honest reason to look for a JustForFans alternative is that JustForFans will not tell you what it pays you. We read its entire Terms of Use on 9 September 2026, all 31,197 characters, and the words commission, payout, minimum and withdraw appear zero times each. The only percentage in the document is the 5% it pays somebody for referring you. Every other platform below publishes a number you can hold it to.
We build a competing platform, so weigh that. It is also why this page compares what each company puts in writing rather than what review sites claim on its behalf. The three JustForFans rates in circulation in 2026 are 20%, 30%, and 85% on qualifying exclusive sales, and none of them traces back to a JustForFans page.
Sorted by what a creator actually keeps. A blank in the rate column is not an oversight, it is the finding.
| Platform | Creator keeps | Rate published? | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| HerFans | 80% | Yes, a flat 20% | Women creators who want the fee in writing |
| OnlyFans | 80% | Yes, flat 20% | The largest buyer base by far |
| Fansly | 80% | Yes, in its terms of service | Kink and niche tagging, creator-set refunds |
| Fanvue | 80% | Yes, in its help center | Documented payouts and AI creator tools |
| ManyVids | 80% club and customs, 60% video sales | Yes, per revenue type | Selling clips rather than subscriptions |
| JustForFans | Not published | No | Gay, queer and kink audiences |
| FanCentro | Not published | No | Creators already running paid Snapchat |
| LoyalFans | 80% | Yes, on its payout page and in its terms | Creators wanting a smaller, quieter site |
Three reasons come up repeatedly, and only one of them is about money.
The first is the unwritten rate. If you cannot cite the percentage, you cannot forecast, price or negotiate. On $3,000 a month of sales, the gap between the cheapest and most expensive reported reading of JustForFans is $5,400 a year, and nothing in the company’s documents tells you which applies to you.
The second is the exit clause. The JustForFans terms state that you may not remove all or most of your content while you still have subscribers, because emptying a paid library triggers chargebacks. The reasoning is fair from their side. The effect is that leaving is not entirely your decision to make.
The third is silence. The JustForFans Trustpilot profile holds 23 reviews at a 2.0 average and has never been claimed, so no one from the company has replied to any of them. Compare Fanvue, which answers 77.9% of its negative reviews. Small sample, but it is the only public record there is.
Audience, and it is not close. JustForFans has been the default subscription home for gay, queer and kink male creators since 2018. It hosts the Tom of Finland presence, runs a charitable giving program, and carries fetish audiences that broader platforms serve thinly. If those are your buyers, they are already there, and buyers who exist beat a better fee every time.
HerFans is built for women creators. If you are a gay male creator, JustForFans is very likely the right platform for you and we would rather say so than sell you something that does not fit. JustForFans is also the older platform, with a track record since 2018 that a newer site cannot claim.
Four questions, in this order, whichever platform you are considering.
Does it publish the rate? Not a review site, the company. If the number is not on a page the company controls, you have no rate, you have a rumor. Does it publish a minimum payout and a schedule? A rate is meaningless if $180 sits in a balance you cannot reach. Who decides refunds? OnlyFans reserves that call for itself, Fansly gives it to the creator, JustForFans refuses refunds outright and lets the dispute go to the fan’s bank. And can you leave with your files and your audience intact?
That last one is why a link you own matters more than any platform. Keep your audience reachable from a page you control, and every platform becomes a place you sell rather than a place you are stuck.
The whole fee argument, in money rather than percentages.
| Monthly sales | Keep 80% (the 80% default) | Keep 70% | What ten points costs per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| $500 | $400 | $350 | $600 |
| $1,000 | $800 | $700 | $1,200 |
| $3,000 | $2,400 | $2,100 | $3,600 |
| $5,000 | $4,000 | $3,500 | $6,000 |
Ten points of fee is $6,000 a year at $5,000 a month, which is the gap between 80% and 70%. That is why an unpublished rate is worth arguing about: HerFans charges a flat 20%, the same published default OnlyFans and Fansly charge, and a platform that will not tell you its number could be anywhere on this table. Pick the audience first, then refuse to accept an unwritten rate once you have one.
a flat 20%, so you keep 80%, published on our pricing page. JustForFans names no creator rate anywhere in its 31,197-character terms of use, and the figures other reviews quote for it differ by up to $5,400 a year on $3,000 a month of sales.
JustForFans terms say you may not remove all or most of your content while subscribers remain. We put no such restriction on you. Every file you upload also carries a watermark baked into the image or video itself, not a viewer overlay, so it stays traceable after a leak.
A fan’s payment for a custom request is held the moment you accept it and released when you deliver. Decline or cancel and the fan is refunded automatically, which is the dispute that otherwise ends up at a card issuer.
Sign up in seconds with email, pick a creator name, and set up your profile. No upfront cost.
Upload photos and videos, set a monthly subscription price, and lock premium posts behind pay-per-view.
Fans subscribe, tip and unlock your content. You ask for a payout from your dashboard once your available balance reaches the published minimum. Each sale is pending for 30 days, the period in which refunds and most card disputes arrive, and 10% of it is held as a reserve until day 120. For a sale paid by card, the reserve is held longer, up to day 206, because our card processor keeps its own reserve on that payment for 26 weeks and it is released to you once it has been returned to us.
