ManyVids vs OnlyFans Fees and What a Creator Keeps

Start earning on HerFans

Free to join, one flat fee on what you sell, and no monthly seller subscription.

OnlyFans charges one fee, 20% of everything, so a creator keeps 80% of subscriptions, tips, pay-per-view and messages alike. ManyVids charges by product: 80% on MV Club subscriptions, customs, tips and store items, but 60% on Vids, Vid bundles, contest votes and Pay To Open messages. If clips are a third or more of what you sell, OnlyFans keeps you more money on the same sales. If your month is subscriptions, tips and customs, the two pay the same 80%, and ManyVids brings buyers who browse, which OnlyFans never will.

We run a competing platform, so weigh that as you read. It is also why this comparison uses each company’s own published numbers: the ManyVids rate card its help center updated on 1 July 2026, and the OnlyFans help center as it read on 18 September 2026. Neither the script-vendor blogs nor the 2021 magazine story that rank for this search do the arithmetic by product mix, and the product mix is the whole answer.

ManyVids vs OnlyFans fees by product

OnlyFans is one line. ManyVids is a rate card, and the line most clip sellers care about, the Vid, sits on the lower rate.

ManyVids labels the MV Live token rate promotional, which means it can change without the rest of the card moving. Everything else above is the rate card as published. OnlyFans has no equivalent card because it does not need one: the 20% is confirmed by the parent group’s FY2024 accounts, in which $5.80 billion of $7.22 billion in gross sales went to creators, 80.3%.

Which pays more on $1,000 of sales?

The answer moves with what the $1,000 is made of. Three real mixes, same sales on each platform:

Monthly mix, $1,000 of salesManyVids pays youOnlyFans pays youHerFans pays youGap, MV vs OF
Subscriptions only$800$800$800$0
50% subscriptions, 30% tips, 20% customs$800$800$800$0
60% Vids, 20% customs, 20% tips$680$800$800$120 a month, $1,440 a year
50% Pay To Open messages, 50% subscriptions$700$800$800$100 a month, $1,200 a year
Vids only (a catalogue seller)$600$800$800$200 a month, $2,400 a year

So the honest verdict has two halves. A creator whose income is subscriptions, tips and customs pays the same 20% on both, and ManyVids gives her a marketplace where buyers search by category on top. A creator whose income is clips or paid messages pays 40% on ManyVids for the products she sells most, and the gap is $1,200 to $2,400 a year at $1,000 a month. Above that, it scales: a $5,000-a-month catalogue seller leaves $12,000 a year on the table by choosing the 60% rate over a flat 20%.

What OnlyFans does not give her is a single buyer she did not bring. ManyVids has browsing traffic; OnlyFans has none by design. That is the trade, and only she knows whether the buyers ManyVids sends her are worth 20 points on every clip. The flat-rate alternative that keeps the OnlyFans math without the OnlyFans crowd is the sites like ManyVids we compare here, HerFans among them.

Payout minimums, timing and the paperwork

Fees decide how much you keep; payout terms decide when you see it.

Two details trip up US creators moving between the two. ManyVids will not let you add a payment method until the W-9 is filed, so do the tax form on day one, not on the first payday. And OnlyFans’ seven-day pending period is per sale, not per payout: money a fan spends on the 30th is not withdrawable on the 1st. Run both platforms in the same month and you will have two payout calendars, one Wednesday and one rolling, landing in the same account. When you reconcile them against your bank, it helps to turn the PDF bank statement into a spreadsheet and match each deposit to the platform statement rather than eyeballing it. Our guide to creator taxes covers the 1099-NEC and 1099-K thresholds that apply to both.

Is ManyVids better than OnlyFans for a clip seller?

For discovery, yes; for the fee, no. ManyVids is a marketplace with category search, contests and a storefront, so a new seller with a strong catalogue can be found there without a following elsewhere. The price of that discovery is the 60% clip rate, which OnlyFans never charges. A clip seller who already has an audience on Reddit or X is paying ManyVids 40 points for buyers she is bringing herself. A clip seller with no audience is paying 40 points for the only buyers she has, which can be a fair deal. Our ManyVids review checks every rate above against the help center and covers the parts of the platform this fee comparison skips.

Is OnlyFans better than ManyVids for subscriptions?

On the fee they are identical at 80%, so the choice is audience and features. OnlyFans has the larger fan base and the recognisable name; ManyVids’ MV Club sits inside a marketplace that also sells clips, so a subscriber can be a clip buyer first. If payout speed is what you are weighing, the weekly Wednesday cycle at ManyVids is more predictable than the rolling OnlyFans hold. Everything OnlyFans keeps, by product and at scale, is in how much OnlyFans takes.

The flat-rate option, for creators who bring their own buyers

HerFans charges one flat 20% on every sale type, so a Vid pays 80%, a paid message pays 80% and a subscription pays 80%: the OnlyFans math with a lower payout floor of $10, paid to the account details you give us within 3 business days of asking, after a 30 day pending period per sale (10% reserve to day 120). The trade is the one we keep repeating because it is true: no marketplace traffic, women creators only, and before you can publish anything your government ID and a live check in front of your camera are verified, and anything the check cannot confirm is decided by a person. For a catalogue seller with her own audience, it is the cheapest of the three on every product line; for a seller who needs ManyVids to find her buyers, it is not, and she should stay where the buyers are. The side-by-side of every platform’s published rate is in creator payout percentages by platform.
