IWantClips Commissions and What Sellers Keep per Sale
Free to join, one flat fee on what you sell, and no monthly seller subscription.
IWantClips pays sellers 60% on clips and store content, 70% on pay-to-view messages, 80% on tips and tributes, and 85% on video calls. Custom clips sold through its sister site iWantCustomClips pay 100% of your price, because the buyer pays a convenience fee on top. Phone calls on iWantPhone pay 70% before a per-minute connection fee. Choosing daily payouts costs a further 5% of revenue share.
Every figure here comes from the IWantClips artist help center, which we read in full in September 2026. We run a competing creator platform, so weigh that as you read. It is also why this page quotes the company’s own articles instead of the coupon and affiliate sites that fill the rest of the results.
IWantClips commission rates by sale type
IWantClips does not charge one rate. It publishes a rate per product, and the product most sellers think of first, the clip, pays the lowest share on the main site.
| What you sell | Where | You keep | IWantClips keeps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Clips and store content (clips, photos, audio) | iWantClips | 60% | 40% |
| Pay-to-view messages | iWantClips | 70% | 30% |
| Tips and tributes | iWantClips | 80% | 20% |
| Video calls | iWantClips | 85% | 15% |
| Custom clips | iWantCustomClips | 100% of your price | Buyer pays a convenience fee on top |
| Phone calls | iWantPhone | 70%, then minus $0.20 to $0.60 a minute | 30% plus the connection fee |
How much do you actually keep on $1,000 of clip sales?
On $1,000 of clip and store sales, you keep $600 on the standard bi-monthly or monthly schedule. Daily payouts (US stores) and Request Pay (international stores) come with what the help center calls a 5% reduction in payout rev-share. It does not say whether that means five percentage points or five percent of your share, so the table shows both readings.
| $1,000 of sales | You keep | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|
| IWantClips clips, bi-monthly or monthly payout | $600 | 60% |
| IWantClips clips, daily payout (read as 5 points) | $550 | 55% |
| IWantClips clips, daily payout (read as 5% of your share) | $570 | 57% |
| IWantClips tips and tributes | $800 | 80% |
| ManyVids Vids and Vid Bundles | $600 | 60% |
| ManyVids customs, tips and Club | $800 | 80% |
| HerFans, any sale type | 80% of it | 80% |
The spread matters more than the headline. A seller whose income is mostly tributes and calls pays IWantClips a low cut. A seller whose income is mostly catalogue clips pays 40% on most of it, which is double what a flat 20% platform takes.
Does IWantClips take a commission on custom clips?
No. Custom clips are sold through iWantCustomClips, and its help article says you make 100% of the price you set, using the example of a $10 per minute rate paying you the full $10 per minute. The site covers hosting, bandwidth and support by charging the customer a convenience fee over your rate. For a seller whose business is custom work, this is the best rate on the network and better than most platforms anywhere, including ours.
How much does iWantPhone pay per minute?
iWantPhone pays 70% of your per-minute rate, then subtracts a connection fee for every minute: $0.20 when both you and the caller are domestic, $0.40 for an international caller to a domestic line, and $0.60 when both sides are international. Because the fee is fixed and the commission is a percentage, the cheaper your rate, the more of it the fee eats.
| 10-minute call | 70% of the call | Connection fee | You keep | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $2.00 a minute, domestic | $14.00 | $2.00 | $12.00 | 60% |
| $1.00 a minute, domestic | $7.00 | $2.00 | $5.00 | 50% |
| $1.00 a minute, international to domestic | $7.00 | $4.00 | $3.00 | 30% |
| $1.00 a minute, international to international | $7.00 | $6.00 | $1.00 | 10% |
That is the method the help center gives: multiply the rate by the minutes, multiply by your commission, then subtract the connection fees. At $1.00 a minute, a domestic call already leaves you only half of what the caller paid.
How does IWantClips pay out?
You pick a schedule, and the schedule decides your minimum, your waiting time and whether you lose part of your share.
| Schedule | When it runs | Minimum | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bi-monthly | Sent for processing on the 12th and 27th, reviewed within 2 business days, then up to 6 business days to your bank | $50, or $100 by international wire | None |
| Monthly | Sent on the 5th, same review and delivery times | $50, or $100 by international wire | None |
| Daily (US stores only) | Each business day, with earnings held 1 week first | $25 | 5% reduction in revenue share |
| Request Pay (international stores only) | On request, with earnings held 3 business days | $50 Paxum, $100 other methods | 5% reduction in revenue share |
US sellers can take direct deposit (ACH), paper check or Paxum, and none of the three carries a fee from IWantClips. A voided check costs $25, and Paxum charges its own fees to move money onward. International wires under $1,000 carry processing fees ($20 for foreign currency, $28 for USD, plus $8 on USD wires), and one wire over $1,000 a month is free. US stores must file a W-9 before the store opens, taxes are not withheld, and IWantClips says it sends a 1099-MISC by January 31. International stores using Request Pay can also see requests above $2,000 in their first month held for longer.
The costs that are not in the commission
Four policies in the help center affect what you take home without ever appearing as a percentage. Most reviews skip all of them.
- Closing a store below the minimum forfeits the balance. If you close with less than the payout minimum, the policy says you forfeit what is left. It comes back only if you reopen the same account.
- Unsold items are deleted. Any item live for 12 months with zero lifetime sales is archived, and 14 days later it is permanently removed, files included. New stores get 24 months. Download anything you want to keep.
- Refunds are rare and cost the buyer. All sales are final. Where a refund is granted, a 20% processing fee comes off what the buyer gets back, which keeps casual refund requests down.
- Chargebacks are covered, within limits. Charge Back Protection covers up to $5,000 a month per artist or studio, but not for a customer you know has filed chargebacks before, and it can be withdrawn from sellers with high claim rates.
Two policies work in your favor and deserve credit. IWantClips runs a free DMCA takedown service for its artists, and its blocking tool lets you shut out buyers by username, email, IP address, location or zip code, which is finer than most subscription platforms offer. Zip code blocking keeps nearby buyers away from your store, but it does nothing about the people-search sites that list your legal name and home address to anyone who looks, so sellers who guard their privacy seriously also work on removing their home address from data broker sites.
Is IWantClips worth it for fetish creators?
Yes, if your income leans on customs, calls and tributes, and you want a marketplace with fetish buyers already browsing by category. Those sale types pay 80% to 100%, which is as good as anywhere. It is weaker if you mainly sell a back catalogue of clips, because 60% is the lowest rate on the network and unsold items are eventually deleted. Getting started takes a government ID, an e-signed store operator agreement and five uploaded pieces of content, and approval usually takes under 24 hours.
If clips are the heart of your business, compare the flat alternative before you commit. HerFans charges one flat 20% on every sale type, so a clip pays the same 80% as a tip. Every file you upload carries your page address inside it, and it is checked before it goes live, with anything the check cannot clear held for a person. The honest trade is audience: we are not a fetish marketplace with category browsing, so you bring your own buyers. Our guide to the best sites to sell fetish content sets IWantClips against Clips4Sale, ManyVids and the subscription platforms, and our IWantClips alternative comparison covers where else clip sellers go. To see what every major platform pays, start with creator payout percentages by platform.
