Four things can be bought on a creator page and they behave differently, which is where most confusion and most regret comes from. Here is exactly what each one is, what it costs, what you keep afterwards, and how to stop a subscription.

There are four purchases on HerFans and no others: a monthly subscription to a creator, a paid post, a paid message and a tip. Paid by card, the subscription renews every month until you cancel, and we email you 3 days before each renewal; paid any other way, it ends with the month you paid for, and we email you a link to renew. The date sits next to it in your subscriptions list. The other three are single purchases: bought once, no renewal, nothing to cancel. The creator sets every price and keeps 80% of it. Each purchase is paid at the moment you make it.
None of this costs anything to look at. Browsing is free without an account, an account is free, following a creator is free, and her free posts stay free whatever you do or do not buy.
| What it is | What you get | Does it repeat? | Who sets the price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly subscription | Her subscriber feed for the month, and the posts she keeps for subscribers | Paid by card: every month until you cancel. Otherwise: ends with the paid month, with a renewal link by email | The creator |
| Paid post | That one post, unlocked and yours to open again | No, bought once | The creator, per post |
| Paid message | The attachment in that message, unlocked in the conversation | No, bought once | The creator, per message |
| Tip | Nothing is unlocked. It is a thank you, on a post or in a conversation | No | You, any amount |
The useful way to decide is to ask how much of her work you want rather than what looks cheapest.
A warning that applies everywhere in this category rather than only here: a subscription price of a dollar or two is usually a page that earns from paid posts afterwards, and a higher subscription is often a page that puts most things in the feed. Neither is dishonest, but they cost very different amounts by the end of the month, and the subscription price alone will not tell you which one you are looking at. Read the free posts first.
Keep your own eye on the renewal date. The list in your account shows when each subscription renews, and you can cancel at any time before the next renewal.
Every price on a HerFans page is hers: the monthly subscription, the price on each post, the price on a message. There is no platform-wide discount, no minimum per post and no repricing of her page to move volume. A platform that sets prices centrally is optimising across thousands of pages for its own revenue, and the creator with a small, loyal audience is always the one who loses that trade. The flip side, said honestly, is that prices vary a lot from page to page, so the comparison you should make is between creators rather than against a number we published.
Where the money goes is the other half of that. She keeps 80% of every purchase, at one flat rate across subscriptions, paid posts, paid messages and tips. There is no fee added to the creator’s price at the moment you pay, so the number on the button is the number.
More than on most platforms, and this is the part worth using. Profiles, prices, free posts and the public feed are all visible without an account, and the public surface is safe for work. A locked post shows a blurred preview generated on our side rather than the real file, so nobody can pull the original out of the page. What you cannot see before buying is the inside of a paid post, which is the whole point of it.
Two habits that save money. Read a week of free posts before subscribing, because a page that posts nothing free is telling you something. And check when she last posted: an abandoned page still takes a subscription, and a subscription to a page that has stopped posting is the most common bad purchase in this category.
You pay at the moment of purchase, on a secure payment page, for the one thing you chose. Everything free costs nothing, and a creator whose page you are already reading is a much better first purchase than one you find on the day.
If the wider question is what all this buys you, what is genuinely free here and the fan comparison of platforms are the two pages to read next.
A monthly subscription, a paid post, a paid message and a tip. No platform membership, no fee added to her price, and no bundle you have to buy before you can talk to anyone.
A subscription paid by card renews every month until you cancel; paid any other way, it ends with the paid month, with a link to renew by email. If you cancel, you keep the month you paid for.
The creator sets every price and keeps 80% of it. One flat rate, on every sale type.
Open Explore and look around. Profiles, prices and public posts are visible without an account, and the public surface is safe for work.
An email address and a code, and you are in. Then follow the creators you like for free and message the ones who take free DMs. HerFans is 18+ and you confirm that when you join.
A subscription gives you a month of her posts. Paid by card, it renews every month until you cancel, and we email you 3 days before each renewal; paid any other way, it ends with the month you paid for, and we email you a link to renew. A single post, a paid message and a tip are single purchases, paid at the moment you buy.
Category pages are public and free to open. No account needed to look.
Browsing is free and the public pages are safe for work. Create an account when you want to follow, message or unlock something.
Adults only, 18 or over
HerFans is a subscription platform for adult creators and is restricted to people aged 18 or over, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher. Nothing explicit is shown on these public pages: adult material is behind sign-up and is visible only to members who have confirmed their age. By continuing you confirm you meet that age, that adult material is legal where you are, and that you accept our Terms and Privacy Policy. Parents can restrict access with tools such as ASACP-listed filtering software.
