FanCentro vs OnlyFans: Which Fee Costs You Less

OnlyFans costs less to use, because you can actually calculate it. OnlyFans takes a flat 20% of everything, with payment processing included, and states that rate publicly. FanCentro does not publish a creator rate at all: the two figures in circulation are a 20% cut and a 25% cut (15% platform plus 10% processing), and neither traces back to a FanCentro page. If FanCentro is really 20%, the two are identical on fees. If it is 25%, FanCentro costs a creator grossing $3,000 a month an extra $1,800 a year.

That is the whole comparison in a paragraph, but the reasoning matters more than the verdict, because the gap is not really about five percentage points. It is about whether you can price your own business.

What OnlyFans actually charges

OnlyFans takes 20% of your gross, full stop. Subscriptions, tips, pay-per-view messages and paid posts are all treated the same way, and payment processing comes out of the platform's 20% rather than yours. There is no monthly seller fee and no separate processing line. If a fan pays $10, $8 is credited to you.

You can verify that rate rather than trust it. Fenix International, the company behind OnlyFans, files public accounts. Its FY2024 filing reports $7.22 billion in gross merchandise value and $5.80 billion paid out to creators, which is 80.3% of GMV reaching creators. The published 20% and the audited money movement agree with each other, which is not something you can say about most platforms in this space.

The 20% is high compared with what a self-hosted page costs, and we compete with OnlyFans so we would say that. But it is legible, and legibility is worth real money when you are deciding where to build. Our breakdown of how much OnlyFans takes works through the arithmetic at several income levels.

What FanCentro actually charges

Nobody outside FanCentro appears to know. We went looking in August 2026 and could not find a creator commission rate anywhere on the company's own website. The terms URLs a creator would try (/terms, /terms-of-use, /legal/terms) all return 404. The help subdomain returns 403 to anything that is not a browser session. The FAQ URL redirects to the creator signup page. A full browser render of the creator page contains no percentage in the copy at all.

The oddest one is fancentro.com/fees. It returns HTTP 200, so nothing tells you the page is missing, and then it serves the creator directory instead of a fee page. You do not get an error. You just quietly do not find the number.

The rates you see quoted come from third-party articles and from lookalike domains such as fancentroapp.com and fancentrocom.com, which are not FanCentro's own site. Those sources contradict each other: one gives a range of 20% to 30%, another gives a flat 25% broken out as 15% platform and 10% processing. Most of the friendlier reviews carry a referral link and earn a commission when you sign up, which is a reason to treat their percentage as marketing rather than fact. The full check is written up in our FanCentro review.

What the difference costs at your income level

If FanCentro is 20%, the fee question is a tie and you should decide on payout speed and tooling instead. If it is 25%, the cost shows up like this:

Monthly gross OnlyFans (keep 80%) FanCentro at 75% Cost per year
$1,000$800$750$600
$3,000$2,400$2,250$1,800
$5,000$4,000$3,750$3,000
$10,000$8,000$7,500$6,000

The practical move is to make the number knowable before you build an audience somewhere. Message FanCentro support and ask them to state your commission percentage, and whether processing comes out of it or on top of it, in a reply you can save. Two sentences in writing settle a question that a year of searching does not.

Which one pays you faster?

FanCentro wins this clearly, and it is the strongest argument for choosing it. Payouts run weekly, usually on a Tuesday. OnlyFans holds earnings for roughly seven days before they become available, then takes another three to five business days to reach a US bank. Over a month that is a meaningful difference in when money is actually in your account.

Two caveats. FanCentro's first payout typically takes about three weeks while the account is reviewed, so week one is not a payday. And OnlyFans has a $20 minimum against FanCentro's threshold that you set yourself, commonly from $50, which slightly favors OnlyFans for very small balances. FanCentro's range of payout methods is genuinely broader: check, ACH, wire, SEPA, Paxum, e-wallets and cryptocurrency, against a narrow bank-transfer path on OnlyFans.

Which is better for a creator starting out?

Start where the buyers are. Fee differences of five points do not matter when you have no subscribers, and audience size dominates everything early on. OnlyFans has by far the largest fan base, a payment flow fans already trust, and a rate you can plug into a spreadsheet before you commit.

FanCentro makes more sense once you already have traffic of your own and you want the promotion tooling, the wider payout options, and the weekly cycle. Its creator directory sends some organic discovery, though not enough to build on by itself. If you are weighing both against the rest of the field rather than only each other, our roundup of FanCentro alternatives compared on fees puts seven platforms side by side, and the creator payout percentage table covers what everyone publishes.

There is a third answer worth naming. Platform fees apply to platform income, so the creators who feel them least are the ones earning partly outside the platform. Money from your own list, from direct sales, or from paid brand work that no platform takes a cut of arrives whole. A 20% fee on 60% of your income is a 12% fee on your business.

Do you pay processing fees on top on either platform?

On OnlyFans, no. Processing is inside the 20%, which is why the flat rate is genuinely flat and why $10 reliably becomes $8. On FanCentro this is exactly the ambiguity: one reported structure describes 15% platform plus 10% processing, which would mean processing is part of a 25% total rather than an extra charge on top of 20%. Since the rate is unpublished, treat this as the specific thing to ask support about, because it is where the five-point difference lives.

Can you use FanCentro and OnlyFans at the same time?

Yes. Neither platform requires exclusivity, and running both is common: creators often keep OnlyFans as the main subscription home because that is where fans already are, and use a second platform for a different audience or for the faster payout cycle. The real costs of doing it are your time and split attention, not a contractual penalty. If you do run both, price consistently across them, because fans compare and undercutting yourself in one place trains people to wait.

Is FanCentro cheaper than OnlyFans?

It cannot be established, which is the honest answer. At the reported 20% it matches OnlyFans exactly. At the reported 25% it is more expensive by five points. Because FanCentro publishes nothing and OnlyFans publishes a flat 20% that its parent company's filed accounts corroborate, the only platform of the two whose cost you can confirm before signing up is OnlyFans. For a decision about where to spend the next year building, that certainty is worth more than the percentage itself.
