How to calculate promoter commission

There is no fixed income for a promoter and no reliable earnings promise based on a link or an audience size. You can calculate commission for stated assumptions. Treat every scenario as arithmetic and separate it from observed purchases and money you can actually withdraw.

Set out the inputs before calculating

A useful calculation needs spending that qualifies under the programme, the platform fee and the creator’s chosen affiliate rate. If you enter a number of fans and an assumed spend, those are your scenario inputs, not a forecast supplied by HerFans. They do not establish that anyone will visit, become attributed or buy. Use real panel information when reviewing past activity and label assumptions clearly when planning future work.

Read a complete arithmetic scenario

For a calculation example, not an earnings promise, assume 25 attributed fans each make qualifying purchases of 12 USD. Sales total 25 × 12 = 300 USD. The 20 percent platform fee leaves a creator share of 240 USD. At a 30 percent affiliate rate, commission is 240 × 0.30 = 72 USD. This is before waiting periods, reserve, reversals, payout fees and your own promotional costs. It does not predict those purchases.

Use the calculator as a planning aid

Change a scenario input to see how the formula behaves, without treating the new result as evidence. Fan spending can vary, a campaign can produce no qualifying sales, and a refund can reverse commission already recorded. Keep promotional expenses separate so a commission figure is not mistaken for profit. Record what you actually spend, and review affordability before buying promotion. An attractive scenario is not a reason to spend beyond your own budget.

Understand the commission base

A creator decides whether to enable her affiliate programme. She chooses a commission rate of 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 percent of her own share of sales. HerFans takes a platform fee of 20 percent from a creator sale, so the affiliate percentage applies to the amount left for her, rather than the full amount paid by the fan. Check the creator offer before publishing a recommendation. A headline percentage alone does not tell a reader how the calculation works, and a higher rate does not establish that an audience will buy.

For a calculation example, a fan spends 10 USD. After the platform fee, the creator share is 8 USD. At a 30 percent affiliate rate, the commission is 8 × 0.30 = 2.40 USD. This is an arithmetic example, not an earnings promise. It also is not an immediately withdrawable payment. Commissions wait 60 days before becoming available, part is additionally held in a refund reserve, and a refund or chargeback reverses the related commission. Keep those distinctions in your own notes when comparing an offer or explaining the programme to someone else.

Separate recorded commission from a withdrawal

A recorded commission needs to wait 60 days before becoming available. A part is additionally retained in a reserve for refunds, so do not plan a withdrawal from the total recorded amount. A refund or chargeback reverses the associated commission. Read the available balance in /affiliate and keep a note of adjustments when reviewing your activity. A sale, an attributed fan and an available balance describe different things. None of them is a guarantee of future purchases. If you spend money promoting a link, those costs belong in your own budget even when a commission is still pending or a campaign produces no sales.

The minimum payout is 50 USD. You can receive it to an IBAN or PayPal account in your own name after a one time identity check. The payout fee is 1 USD plus 1 percent, deducted from the payout. For an arithmetic example only, not an earnings promise, a payout of 50 USD has a fee of 1 + 0.50 = 1.50 USD, leaving 48.50 USD after that fee. This example assumes the 50 USD is already available and does not bypass the waiting period or reserve. Prepare matching recipient details and use the verification route provided in the panel. Do not send identity documents to a creator or place them on a public promotional page.

An example calculated from your inputs and the creator rate after the platform fee. It is not a promise of earnings. Refunds, disputes and eligibility can change actual commission.

Questions and answers

Does the calculator predict my income?

No. It calculates a scenario from your inputs. Actual qualifying sales can differ or be absent, and waiting periods, reserve, reversals, payout fees and your own costs affect what remains available.

Is the affiliate percentage applied to the full sale?

No. It applies to the creator share after the 20 percent platform fee. The creator chooses a rate of 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 percent of that share.

When can a recorded commission be withdrawn?

It waits 60 days before becoming available, and part is additionally held in a refund reserve. Use your available balance, not the total recorded commission, when planning a payout.

What are the payout requirements and fee?

The minimum is 50 USD, paid to an IBAN or PayPal in your name after a one time identity check. The fee of 1 USD plus 1 percent is deducted from the payout.
