Revenue share and CPA explained

Revenue share and CPA describe different ways an affiliate programme can calculate compensation. Understanding the event that creates a commission is more useful than comparing labels. HerFans uses a creator chosen share of qualifying sales, rather than a fixed payment for a registration.

Revenue share follows a purchase

Revenue share means commission is a percentage of an eligible sales base. The programme must explain what that base includes, which sales qualify and whether a referred customer can produce later commissions. A percentage is incomplete information without those conditions. In HerFans the creator chooses the rate on her own share of sales. A fan who visits or registers without making a qualifying purchase does not create sales commission merely by arriving.

CPA follows a defined action

In affiliate programmes generally, CPA means payment for a specified action that meets the programme conditions. The action might be an approved acquisition or another clearly defined event. Do not assume that an account opening is always payable, that every application is accepted or that a rejected action creates a commission. Definitions and validation rules belong to the particular programme. These are general concepts, not an alternative CPA offer from HerFans.

Compare timing as well as the formula

With revenue share, later qualifying purchases by an attributed fan can matter, but neither their frequency nor value is known in advance. With CPA, the defined action and its validation determine the compensation. Neither model guarantees a profitable campaign. When making a budget, separate your promotional costs, recorded commission and money available to withdraw. Avoid converting an assumed audience size into expected income without evidence of actual qualifying activity.

Understand the commission base

A creator decides whether to enable her affiliate programme. She chooses a commission rate of 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 percent of her own share of sales. HerFans takes a platform fee of 20 percent from a creator sale, so the affiliate percentage applies to the amount left for her, rather than the full amount paid by the fan. Check the creator offer before publishing a recommendation. A headline percentage alone does not tell a reader how the calculation works, and a higher rate does not establish that an audience will buy.

For a calculation example, a fan spends 10 USD. After the platform fee, the creator share is 8 USD. At a 30 percent affiliate rate, the commission is 8 × 0.30 = 2.40 USD. This is an arithmetic example, not an earnings promise. It also is not an immediately withdrawable payment. Commissions wait 60 days before becoming available, part is additionally held in a refund reserve, and a refund or chargeback reverses the related commission. Keep those distinctions in your own notes when comparing an offer or explaining the programme to someone else.

Separate recorded commission from a withdrawal

A recorded commission needs to wait 60 days before becoming available. A part is additionally retained in a reserve for refunds, so do not plan a withdrawal from the total recorded amount. A refund or chargeback reverses the associated commission. Read the available balance in /affiliate and keep a note of adjustments when reviewing your activity. A sale, an attributed fan and an available balance describe different things. None of them is a guarantee of future purchases. If you spend money promoting a link, those costs belong in your own budget even when a commission is still pending or a campaign produces no sales.

The minimum payout is 50 USD. You can receive it to an IBAN or PayPal account in your own name after a one time identity check. The payout fee is 1 USD plus 1 percent, deducted from the payout. For an arithmetic example only, not an earnings promise, a payout of 50 USD has a fee of 1 + 0.50 = 1.50 USD, leaving 48.50 USD after that fee. This example assumes the 50 USD is already available and does not bypass the waiting period or reserve. Prepare matching recipient details and use the verification route provided in the panel. Do not send identity documents to a creator or place them on a public promotional page.

Questions and answers

Does HerFans pay a fixed CPA for registration?

No. HerFans uses a creator chosen percentage of her share of qualifying sales. CPA describes a different model that pays for a defined, validated action under its own conditions.

Is the affiliate percentage applied to the full sale?

No. It applies to the creator share after the 20 percent platform fee. The creator chooses a rate of 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 percent of that share.

What does lifetime commission mean?

You receive commission on qualifying purchases by the fan you referred for that fan’s lifetime under the programme terms. Future purchases and amounts are not guaranteed.

What happens after a refund or chargeback?

The related commission is reversed. An earlier entry in the panel does not make the commission immune to a refund or chargeback.
