What creator affiliate marketing means
Creator affiliate marketing means recommending a creator to an adult audience and receiving a share of qualifying sales from fans you refer. Your work is to make a relevant, honest introduction. A recommendation alone does not create a commission or guarantee a purchase.
The creator, the fan and your role
The creator makes and sells her content, the fan decides whether to buy, and you explain why the destination may be relevant to your audience. You do not become the creator or take control of her account. Keep that separation clear in your page copy. Describe your recommendation in your own voice and do not imply that you speak on her behalf or can arrange benefits she has not offered.
A referral is a route to a sale
A useful recommendation connects a reader’s interests with an accurate destination. It might be a short introduction on a permitted adult channel or an informative promotional page. Explain what the reader will find before asking them to follow the link. Clicks indicate interest, but commission depends on attributed, qualifying purchases. Avoid treating traffic volume or a long list of links as evidence of financial results.
Begin with a manageable recommendation
Choose an offer you understand, check whether the creator needs to approve your participation, and write a description you can keep accurate. Register with email and a code if you are 18 or over, without creating a public creator profile. Use /affiliate as your working panel. Keep a note of where you publish so you can review a destination and correct an outdated description when necessary.
Understand the commission base
A creator decides whether to enable her affiliate programme. She chooses a commission rate of 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 percent of her own share of sales. HerFans takes a platform fee of 20 percent from a creator sale, so the affiliate percentage applies to the amount left for her, rather than the full amount paid by the fan. Check the creator offer before publishing a recommendation. A headline percentage alone does not tell a reader how the calculation works, and a higher rate does not establish that an audience will buy.
For a calculation example, a fan spends 10 USD. After the platform fee, the creator share is 8 USD. At a 30 percent affiliate rate, the commission is 8 × 0.30 = 2.40 USD. This is an arithmetic example, not an earnings promise. It also is not an immediately withdrawable payment. Commissions wait 60 days before becoming available, part is additionally held in a refund reserve, and a refund or chargeback reverses the related commission. Keep those distinctions in your own notes when comparing an offer or explaining the programme to someone else.
Use the right link and attribution rule
Your promoter workspace is /affiliate. The creator offers are at /affiliate/offers, where you can find creators who have enabled a programme. You have a general HerFans referral link and links to specific creators. Use the general link when your page introduces the platform and a creator link when the recommendation concerns that creator. Copy the referral link from the panel rather than replacing it with the ordinary destination address. A page can open correctly while the address you shared no longer contains your referral information. Review the destination without making a purchase through your own link.
HerFans attributes a fan using the last qualifying click within 30 days. A click is an attribution event, not a payment, and the window for recognising a referral is different from lifetime commission on an attributed fan. If a fan follows another promoter link before attribution, the last click rule matters. In referral systems generally, browser settings and lost cookies can interrupt the journey, so do not promise that every visit will be recognised across browsers or devices. Describe the actual route in your notes and check the panel when investigating an issue. Never create a related fan account or buy through your own link to manufacture a commission.
Questions and answers
Do I need a creator profile to join?
No. Promoters aged 18 or over register with an email address and a code, without a creator profile. Your workspace is /affiliate.
Can I promote any creator?
Find participating creators at /affiliate/offers. Each creator enables her own programme and may accept everyone or approve affiliates individually. Check her offer and your approval status.
Is the affiliate percentage applied to the full sale?
No. It applies to the creator share after the 20 percent platform fee. The creator chooses a rate of 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 percent of that share.
What does lifetime commission mean?
You receive commission on qualifying purchases by the fan you referred for that fan’s lifetime under the programme terms. Future purchases and amounts are not guaranteed.
