Almost every adult platform leaves PayPal out. We checked nine of them against their own payout pages to find the few that pay you there, and what each one allows you to sell.

Very few sites like OnlyFans pay creators through PayPal, because PayPal’s acceptable use policy restricts “certain sexually oriented materials or services” and most adult platforms simply leave it out. Of the subscription sites that allow adult content, HerFans pays to a PayPal account in your own name. OnlyFans, Fansly, Fanvue, LoyalFans and SubscribeStar do not offer PayPal payouts at all.
We checked every platform below against its own help center, payout page or terms in September and October 2026, not against the scraped lists that fill this search. Where a company does not publish something, the table says so instead of guessing. HerFans is our own platform, so read the comparison knowing that, and check the facts we quote on each company’s site.
Three platforms on this list pay creators to PayPal, and only one of them is built for adult subscriptions. HerFans pays to a PayPal account or an IBAN in your own name. Passes pays to a bank or PayPal but bans nudity and explicit content. Premium.chat pays to PayPal, but it sells chat by the minute rather than subscriptions. Patreon also pays to PayPal, with tight limits on adult material.
| Platform | Pays creators to PayPal | Adult content | Creator keeps | Payout minimum |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HerFans | Yes, to a PayPal account or IBAN in your own name | Allowed, ID-verified adults | 80% (flat 20%) | $10 once your ID is approved |
| OnlyFans | No. Methods “depend on where you live”, PayPal never named | Allowed | 80% | $20 on most methods |
| Fansly | No. Paxum, ACH, SEPA, SWIFT, crypto | Allowed | 80% | $20 to $100 by method |
| Fanvue | No. “Paypal is not available on Fanvue” | Allowed | 80% (85% in month one) | $20 plus 5 uploads |
| LoyalFans | No. ACH, wire, SEPA, Paxum | Allowed | 80% | $50 |
| SubscribeStar.adult | No. “We do not envision us using PayPal” | Explicit art and animation | 90% before processing | $150 on most accounts |
| Premium.chat | Yes, PayPal, US direct deposit or Payoneer | Allowed, sells chat by the minute | 60% to 80% by monthly volume | $10 bank or PayPal |
| Passes | Yes, bank or PayPal | Banned. Safe for work only | 80%, or 90% plus $0.30 | $50 |
| Patreon | Yes, PayPal is a payout option | Restricted, behind the paywall only | 90% before processing | Varies by method |
No. OnlyFans does not name PayPal anywhere in its help center. It says the ways you can receive payments “will depend on where you live” and that the minimum withdrawal is $20 for most payout methods. US creators are paid to a bank account, and the company never lists PayPal or crypto as an option. Fans cannot pay with PayPal either: OnlyFans requires a valid payment card.
Because PayPal’s rules make it a bad fit for the whole money chain of an adult platform. Its acceptable use policy lists “certain sexually oriented materials or services” among the transactions you may not use PayPal for, next to obscene items and weapons. In the US it tolerates some physical adult goods but not digital adult content, so fan payments go through adult-specialist card processors instead, and the payout side usually follows them.
| Where the money moves | Who handles it on an adult platform | Why PayPal is usually missing |
|---|---|---|
| Fan pays for a subscription or a post | A card processor that specialises in adult merchants | PayPal’s acceptable use policy restricts “certain sexually oriented materials or services” |
| Platform pays the creator | Bank transfer, Paxum, Cosmo, Masspay or crypto | Most adult platforms keep the whole chain with processors that accept adult risk |
| Creator receives the payout | Her bank account or e-wallet | PayPal can limit an account it decides is outside its policy, so platforms avoid it |
This is why a platform that does offer PayPal payouts is unusual. It is also why you should read the payout section of any site you join, rather than assume the method you use for everything else will be there.
You add a PayPal email to your creator dashboard and request a payout once your available balance reaches $10. There are four steps:
That 30 day pending period is longer than OnlyFans or Fansly, and we would rather tell you than have you find out. In return you get a flat 20% on every sale type, with no processing fee added to your side.
No. OnlyFans accepts payment cards only, charged in USD, and does not take PayPal, crypto, Apple Pay or Google Pay. If you are a fan looking for another way to pay, our guide to paying for OnlyFans with crypto walks through the prepaid card options and what OnlyFans actually accepts. A few pay-per-minute chat sites, SextPanther among them, let buyers pay with PayPal through a billing partner.
No. Fansly pays by Paxum, US ACH, Canadian transfer, SEPA, SWIFT wire and crypto, with minimums from $20 on Paxum and ACH up to $100 on SWIFT and crypto. PayPal is not on the list. Every sale pends 7 days to the hour before it can be withdrawn, so money usually lands 9 to 12 days after the sale. More detail is in our sites like Fansly comparison.
No. Fanvue’s help center says it plainly: “At this time Paypal is not available on Fanvue.” It pays by bank transfer, the Masspay and Cosmo e-wallets, or crypto through TripleA, and the 1% TripleA fee is the only payout fee it lists. You need $20 and five uploaded pieces of content before your first withdrawal. Our Fanvue alternatives page compares the rest of its terms.
Getting paid to PayPal does not change what you owe, only which form may arrive. For 2026, PayPal sends a 1099-K only when you pass both $20,000 and 200 payments in the year, the threshold restored by the 2025 tax law. Your income is taxable either way, and self-employment tax starts at $400 of net profit.
| If you are paid through | Form you may receive in the US | 2026 threshold |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal (a payment app) | 1099-K from PayPal | Over $20,000 and over 200 payments in the year |
| A platform that treats you as a contractor | 1099-NEC from the platform | $2,000 or more in the year |
| Either way | Self-employment tax on your net profit | From $400 of net earnings, at 15.3% |
Keep a record of every payout and the fees taken from it. If your PayPal account also takes personal payments from friends, a separate account for creator income makes the year-end totals much easier to prove.

Fans subscribe, tip and unlock your content. You ask for a payout from your dashboard once your available balance reaches the published minimum. Each sale is pending for 30 days, the period in which refunds and most card disputes arrive, and 10% of it is held as a reserve until day 120. For a sale paid by card, the reserve is held longer, up to day 206, because our card processor keeps its own reserve on that payment for 26 weeks and it is released to you once it has been returned to us.
