Most rejected applications fail on the document, not on the person. Here is what the published figures actually show, what each refusal usually means, and how to pass a check the second time.

A rejected creator application on OnlyFans is common, and it is usually a document problem rather than a judgement about you. OnlyFans publishes monthly moderation figures in its Transparency Center, and the June 2026 set records 147,756 creator applications with 42,873 approved, which is roughly 29 percent. Read the refusal for the exact reason, fix that one thing, and reapply once. If the refusal is about who you are rather than about the photograph, no amount of reapplying will change it, and the sensible move is to get verified somewhere that tells you which step failed.
Those figures are OnlyFans' own, published monthly, and we read them through the aggregation at onlyfansstatistics.com in September 2026 rather than from the company's dashboard directly. Whichever way you read them, the shape is the same: roughly seven applications in ten do not become an account in the month they are filed. Some of those are people who never finish, some are duplicates, and some are refusals. Nobody outside the company can split that number, and anyone who tells you the exact refusal rate is guessing.
Creator forums describe the same short list over and over. None of these are secret, and all of them are fixable except the last two.
| What the refusal says | What it usually is | Fixable |
|---|---|---|
| Document unreadable | Glare on the laminate, a shadow across the photo, or a picture taken at an angle. The machine reading it cannot get the fields out. | Yes, in one attempt |
| Name does not match | A married name on the account and a maiden name on the document, or a middle name typed into the wrong field. | Yes, with the right paperwork |
| Selfie does not match the document | Heavy makeup, a filter, low light, or a document photograph taken years ago. Filters are the single most common cause reported. | Yes, with a plain photograph |
| Document expired | An identity check has to be run against a valid document. An expired passport is not one. | Yes, once renewed |
| Tax form missing or wrong | A W-9 for creators in the United States, with a name and a taxpayer number that agree with each other. | Yes |
| Your country is not supported | Payout rails, not policy. Some countries cannot be paid, so the account cannot be opened. | No |
| You are under eighteen | There is no version of this that gets fixed, anywhere, and no platform worth joining will bend it. | No |
It is worth knowing why you are being asked, because it makes the requests less arbitrary. Card networks require an adult platform to verify every person who appears in content and every person who is paid, and to keep those records. Mastercard set that out in its adult content rules and Visa carries an equivalent requirement. A platform that skips it loses the ability to take card payments at all, which is the end of the business. So the check is not the platform being difficult with you, it is the condition of the platform existing.
That is also why nobody reputable offers a way around it. If a site offers to let you sell without a document, what it is really telling you is that it has no card processing to lose, and the money side of it will be the next thing you find out about.
The requirement here is the same as anywhere legitimate and we are not going to pretend it is lighter. Every creator is eighteen or older, proves it with a government document, and takes a short camera check so the face on the document and the face on the account are the same person. There is no exception to any of that, for anyone, at any level of earnings.
What is different is the failure case. If a step does not clear, we name the step and you repeat that step only. A dark photograph of the back of a document does not cost you the front of it, the two face photographs and the typed details all over again. A refused check does not close your account and does not delete anything, and if you think we read something wrong there is an appeal that stays open for six months and does not require an account to use.
Said plainly, because it matters more than any of the above.
Setting up a page, getting verified, posting and selling all work now, and fans pay at the moment of purchase. If your situation is that you need income this month, verify here by all means, and do not close anything that is already paying you.
Glare, a filter, an angle or an expired document account for the bulk of what gets refused. All four are fixed in ten minutes with daylight and a flat surface.
When something is unclear we name the one step to repeat and keep everything else you already sent.
A check that does not clear leaves your account exactly as it was. Nothing is deleted and nothing is taken.
Eighteen or older, proved with a document and a camera check, with no exceptions and no private arrangements.

Fans subscribe, tip and unlock your content. You ask for a payout from your dashboard once your available balance reaches the published minimum. Each sale is pending for 30 days, the period in which refunds and most card disputes arrive, and 10% of it is held as a reserve until day 120. For a sale paid by card, the reserve is held longer, up to day 206, because our card processor keeps its own reserve on that payment for 26 weeks and it is released to you once it has been returned to us.
