Streamate pays models a percentage of every dollar members spend in their chat room, sends the money every week, and lets each model choose her own per-minute price for private chat with no minimum. Streamate does not publish the percentage on its public model pages. The figure reported by models and agencies is 35%, which at a $3.99 private rate is about $84 for every hour of paid chat.
Everything below that is attributed to Streamate comes from its own model site (streamatemodels.com) and its Performer Code of Conduct, read on 23 October 2026. Where a number comes from somewhere else, such as the 35% share, we say so. The pages that usually rank for Streamate earnings are written by cam agencies, and at least one of them states a biweekly payout that Streamate’s own FAQ contradicts.
Streamate says its models make “anywhere from $200 to $10,000+ per week”, and its homepage advertises up to $10,000 a week. Those are the company’s own bounds, not an average, and it publishes no median. What decides where you land is how many minutes a week members spend with you in paid chat, multiplied by the price you set and the share Streamate pays you.
Streamate explains the mechanics plainly. You start every session in free chat, where members can watch and type. When a member takes you into paid chat, the room closes to non-paying viewers until the show ends, and then you return to free chat. Members can also tip you a one-time amount it calls Gold, in free or paid chat. Streamate says the Gold amounts are usually small but add up.
The table below shows what the reported 35% share turns into at four illustrative private prices. The prices are examples, because Streamate lets each model pick her own.
| Your private price | Your share per minute at 35% | Per hour of paid chat | Per month at 5 paid hours a week |
|---|---|---|---|
| $1.99 a minute | $0.70 | $41.79 | $905 |
| $2.99 a minute | $1.05 | $62.79 | $1,360 |
| $3.99 a minute | $1.40 | $83.79 | $1,815 |
| $4.99 a minute | $1.75 | $105 | $2,270 |
Five paid hours a week is a realistic target for a model with regulars, not for a new account. Streamate’s network sends a lot of traffic, but its model reviews repeatedly mention that there are many more models online than paying members, so most new rooms spend far more time in free chat than in paid chat.
A Streamate model makes, per week, her paid minutes times her price times her share, plus any Gold. Because Streamate pays weekly, this is also the size of each payout. At a $3.99 rate and the reported 35%:
| Paid chat time at $3.99 a minute | Per week at 35% | Per month (52 weeks over 12) |
|---|---|---|
| 2 hours a week | $168 | $726 |
| 5 hours a week | $419 | $1,815 |
| 10 hours a week | $838 | $3,631 |
| 20 hours a week | $1,676 | $7,262 |
The $200 floor of Streamate’s own range corresponds to a little under two and a half paid hours a week at that price. The $10,000 ceiling would need roughly 120 paid hours a week at $3.99, so models at the top of the range charge much more per minute or earn heavily from Gold and repeat customers. Treat the top of the range as possible, not typical.
Streamate does not state the split on its public pages. Its FAQ says only that you “earn a set percentage of the money spent on you” and its homepage that you “receive a percentage of every dollar billed in your chat”. The 35% figure comes from creator guides and from model reviews, one of which describes Streamate keeping 65% and says this was not explained at sign-up. Exact terms are shown during the application.
For comparison, Chaturbate and Stripchat pay $0.05 for every token a viewer spends, and Stripchat says that works out to more than 55% of viewer spending. MyFreeCams says it pays out more than 60% of gross revenue. Subscription platforms pay a larger share: OnlyFans, Fansly and Fanvue pay creators 80%, and HerFans charges a flat 20%, so you keep 80%.
The lower share is partly the price of Streamate’s distribution. Your profile appears across what Streamate calls more than 4,000 websites in its network, and it says it pays for all of that advertising. Whether the trade is worth it depends on whether that traffic converts into paid minutes for you.
Streamate pays models weekly, by the method you choose at sign-up. It lists check, wire transfer and international e-wallet accounts, with options that vary by country. Weekly is faster than MyFreeCams, which pays on the 1st and 16th, and the same rhythm as Stripchat’s Tuesday payouts.
One policy stands out against the rest of the industry. Streamate’s FAQ says it never penalizes performers for chargebacks or card declines, and that you will always be paid for your performances. On most platforms a disputed card payment can come back out of the creator’s balance, so this is a real point in Streamate’s favor if you take large private sessions.
Streamate does not withhold tax for you. A US model reports the income herself, pays self-employment tax and usually makes quarterly estimated payments. Our guide to taxes for adult creators covers the forms and the deductions that apply to cam work too.
The main risk to Streamate income is losing the account, and its Code of Conduct (last updated April 2024) gives the company wide room to close one. The rules that matter most for earnings:
Model reviews of Streamate on Trustpilot echo this. The profile for models.streamate.com held 17 reviews and a TrustScore of 2 on 23 October 2026, unclaimed by the company. Of the 15 shown, 13 were one star, and the most common complaints were accounts banned without a clear reason and low earnings because of competition between models. A review site is a small sample, but the pattern matches the termination rules above.
Signing up is free and Streamate says it never charges performers. You enter an email, confirm it, then complete an application that checks your age with a government-issued photo ID, sets up your payment method, builds your public profile and adds at least one photo. Streamate reviews the application within 24 to 72 hours and you can stream as soon as you are approved.
Streamate accepts models from outside the US, provided they have an accepted ID and speak English well. For equipment it asks only for a computer, a webcam and an internet connection, and recommends an i7-class processor with at least 3 GB of RAM and an HD widescreen webcam. You can hide your profile from chosen locations with geographic restrictions, which matters if you do not want to be seen in your own state.
The big cam sites differ less in what a viewer pays and more in how the money reaches you. This table sets out what each states about pay, with HerFans as the content option many models run next to a cam site.
| Streamate | Chaturbate | Stripchat | MyFreeCams | HerFans | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|

If you are choosing between cam sites, our pages on Chaturbate earnings, Stripchat earnings per hour and MyFreeCams earnings use the same method, so the numbers line up. If payout speed is what matters most, our comparison of cam sites that pay daily and weekly lists every schedule side by side.
Streamate is worth it for a model who wants control over her private price, values weekly pay and wants protection from chargebacks, and who can keep members in paid chat for a good share of her online time. It is a weaker fit if you are just starting with no regulars, because low paid time can lead to termination, and if you want to tell your audience where else to find you, because promoting other sites to members is banned.
The structural limit is the same as on every cam site. Income stops when the camera does. That is why many cam models also keep a content page of their own, promoted from their own social accounts and never from the Streamate room. Photo sets and clips made once keep selling on the nights you do not stream.
HerFans is a subscription platform for women creators. You set a monthly price from $4.99, sell clips and photo sets as pay-per-view posts, attach priced media to messages, take custom requests from $10 and accept tips, all at one flat 20% rate, so you keep 80% of every sale. Every creator passes an ID check reviewed by a person, and you can block whole regions from seeing your page.
The trade-offs are worth knowing before you sign up. Each sale is held for 30 days before you can withdraw it, which is slower than Streamate’s weekly payout, and HerFans is not a live cam site. In return you earn from content while you are offline, at a rate that is written on the pricing page rather than revealed after you apply.
