OnlyFans publishes monthly moderation figures in its Transparency Center. In June 2026 it records 26,901 creator accounts deactivated: 18,762 for fraud prevention, 2,998 for terms of service violations and 5,141 in an other category. Monthly deactivations have sat in a band of roughly twenty six to twenty nine thousand through 2026. We read these through the aggregation at onlyfansstatistics.com in September 2026. The split is the useful part: the largest category by far is fraud prevention, not content.
That matters for two reasons. First, most people who lose an account did not lose it over a photograph, so the appeal that starts by defending your content is answering a charge nobody made. Second, fraud prevention is largely automated on every platform of this size, which is where the sense of a machine deciding your life comes from.
| Category, June 2026 | Accounts | What tends to sit behind it |
|---|---|---|
| Fraud prevention | 18,762 | Payment and identity signals: stolen cards, duplicate identities, log ins that look like a shared or sold account, chargeback clusters. |
| Terms of service | 2,998 | Content and conduct: prohibited material, unverified participants, impersonation, repeat violations after warnings. |
| Other | 5,141 | Unexplained in the published data. It includes closures the company groups elsewhere, and outsiders cannot break it down. |
Against roughly 4.6 million creator accounts, reported from Fenix International's filed accounts for the 2024 financial year, a monthly figure in the high twenty thousands is a small percentage. It is not small to the person it happens to, which is the whole of the complaint, and a small percentage of a very large number is still a town's worth of people every month.
Send it once. Parallel tickets are widely reported to slow reviews down or to be merged and closed together.
No platform that takes card payments can promise that accounts are never closed. It is not a matter of being nice: the card networks require an adult platform to remove material and to close accounts in defined situations, and a platform that refuses loses its ability to process payments. Anyone promising you an account that cannot be closed is either not taking cards or not telling you the truth.
What can honestly be promised is how the decision is made, and that is where the difference is. Here, closing a creator's account is a person's decision and never an automatic one. The reason is given in writing. The appeal is open for six months, it is read by a person, and where it is possible it is read by somebody other than whoever took the first decision. It is open to people who do not have an account here at all, including anybody who appears in material on the platform, because the person in a photograph is often not the person who uploaded it. We answer support mail within twenty four hours and finish a formal complaint within five business days.
A verification check that does not clear is separate and smaller: it is not a closure, it does not delete anything, and it asks you to repeat one step.
In June 2026 fraud prevention accounted for 18,762 of 26,901 deactivations. Most appeals that start by defending a photograph are answering the wrong charge.
Closing a creator's account is a decision a person takes, with the reason written down. It is never done automatically.
The appeals desk is a public page. Anyone affected by a decision can use it, including somebody shown in material who never had an account.
Card network rules require an adult platform to act in defined cases. What can be promised is who decides, that you are told why, and that you can appeal.

Fans subscribe, tip and unlock your content. You ask for a payout from your dashboard once your available balance reaches the published minimum. Each sale is pending for 30 days, the period in which refunds and most card disputes arrive, and 10% of it is held as a reserve until day 120. For a sale paid by card, the reserve is held longer, up to day 206, because our card processor keeps its own reserve on that payment for 26 weeks and it is released to you once it has been returned to us.
