Understand your affiliate commission
Use this calculator to understand the relationship between fan spending, the platform fee and a creator commission rate. Enter assumptions that match your own plan and compare the results before choosing a programme. The figures are examples of arithmetic, with no forecast of traffic, purchases or income. You decide which assumptions to enter and can change them at any time.
Start with your own assumptions
The fan field represents the people whose eligible purchases you want to include in a monthly example. The spending field represents average monthly spending per fan in US dollars. Enter values based on your own records or a clearly labelled planning scenario. Do not treat a visitor, a follower or a registration as a paying fan. Those actions mean different things and may never lead to a purchase. If you have no sales history, leave the fields empty or compare several possible inputs. The calculator cannot tell you how many fans will arrive or how much they will spend.
Understand the base for the rate
The commission rate applies to the creator share after the platform fee. It does not apply to the full amount spent by a fan. The calculator first multiplies fans by average spending, then applies the creator share and the selected commission rate. Choose a rate from the available options and check the terms of the creator programme you actually want to promote. A category average describes a group of programmes and does not replace a specific creator rate. Comparing rates can help you understand the calculation, but audience fit and the creator own offer also matter when choosing whom to promote.
Use the result as a planning example
The monthly result assumes that all entered spending qualifies for commission at the selected rate. The annual result repeats that monthly scenario across a year, with the same assumptions throughout. Real activity can change from month to month. Refunds, disputed payments, programme eligibility and the terms attached to an attributed fan can affect the amount actually earned. The calculated result is not a payout balance or a statement of approved earnings. Before publishing promotion, review the programme terms and use only material the creator permits you to share. Track your own results and revise your assumptions as you learn what your audience responds to.
